Indiana University's economic reach continues to grow across our regional campuses and into Indiana's local communities. As the state's largest public research institution of higher learning, IU recognizes and embraces its fundamental responsibility to serve Indiana’s citizens and businesses by increasing the accessibility and application of its resources for their benefit. Collaboration across the state through regional partnerships enhances our ability to deliver IU expertise in innovative ways.
To more effectively interconnect regional economic development efforts under the Innovate Indiana banner, we created the IU Council for Regional Engagement and Economic Development (CREED). The CREED provides a forum where regional economic issues can be addressed and opportunities for engaging IU resources can be identified. Through our Regional Economic Development (RED) Fund, the CREED provides a key cost-sharing funding source that directly supports economic development-related efforts of regional campus organizations.
